Dear universe, please save me from unimpressive white dudes who think they're qualified to "tell me how it is" because they feel a way...

Like, folks; I literally study all of this shit. Got a wall full of books about climate crisis, read dozens and dozens and dozens of articles, tracking more all the time. You? Feel a way and have complex opinions about "human nature" taught to you by nazis. Read some Kropotkin ffs.

The entire way some of you think about climate crisis is a process error based on your despair for losing what was. The problem SCALES; which means the longer humanity does not act, the more ppl die. There is no "too late" for climate crisis because more people can always die and those people matter. You do not get to "give up" no matter how horrible it gets because that's ALWAYS murder.

I'm not gonna agree that billions of ppl are doomed because you feel a sad.

It’s Never Too Late to Take Climate Action
        from James K. Boyce
The depiction of the climate crisis as a cliff—once we fall off the edge, it’s game over—is nonsense

      To put it directly:

I'm out here advocating for a revolution against fossil fuels and the capitalist order that requires them, precisely because rich nazis have decided that billions of us should die on a sliding scale so they can keep stacking clams and exercising power over us all. Until every one of us, or them, are dead, I'm not going to stop while I draw breath because everyone who isn't a nazi billionaire shitlord, matters.

You wanna emote? Hire a therapist. Cause it ain't me and I DGAF.

@AnarchoNinaWrites today I was reading that gosh, it's not so bad because it will get really bad and people will die so then things will get fixed.
Sorry, as soon as you're okay with "things will get bad and people will die," even without the "and it won't be handled well" part... we're done.

      @geonz @AnarchoNinaWrites

They* had a choice, the data was laid down in front of them decades ago. They could have gone all "we need to stop burning fossil fuel" they made another choice, police militirization on the inside, hard (soon to be "smart" borders).

We are the fossil fuel they chose to reduce.
It won't take two election cycles and another degree for climate collapse deniers to say "democracy failed, it's too slow, we need a green Caesar"
The same people who sold you "Climate change is an hoax" will greem wash themselves and tell you that we need to turn the rest of the world into Gaza.

They'll be "really sorry it has come to that" but hey "better them brown people than your neighbors" - This is how fascism will turn eco.

They'll sell you the last drop of oil before the water wars.

*Your oligarchs and their servants (aka your elected officials)

ps: I ain't breaking any new grounds with this reply, we've been saying this was coming for a looooong time.

also: I said what I said, if you feel the need to "just ask questions" untag me (and you better untag OP, unless you do want that block)

@Verna @geonz We cool, I don't think you and CAM are arguing different things actually. Nobody catching blocks here; I agree with both of you. CAM is saying "they're already making excuses not to act."

@justafrog @AnarchoNinaWrites If we continue with business-as-usual, we are definitely well and truly fucked. We might end up with a not, sterile planet. If we were somehow magically able to abruptly shut down all of the oil wells, gas wells and coal mines, virtually all of industry and agriculture would end and the human population of this planet would plummet. In the second scenario, though, at least the rest of the natural world and the living things in would at least have a fightin' chance.

@AnarchoNinaWrites I get the strong impression that lots of people living very comfortably in the status quo are looking for an "out" where we've "already lost climate" and they no longer have to try.

      Useless whiny fucks.
