     @maija @icedquinn @meeper @mia it's been years and the difficulties in porting have been very public or they would all be ported. the security model is different (and necessary) but for years people were told oh you want global hotkeys tough shit

     @sun @icedquinn @meeper @mia my biggest problem with the security model (arguably necessary, as is any security) is the lack of being able to make explicit exceptions and rules for this.
     sure reading other windows has risks, but allow that feature to be granted on a case by case basis. same thing goes to everything else. android has this figured out, i'm not sure about iphone or macos
