Not too sure, sometimes these small dogs can bark like crazy for ages, and also growl, may be better than a dog that is agressive and can bite, which is not good when you get people trying to deliver letters and parcels.

@RickiTarr the first time my parents left me at home for an evening out with a babysitter, our otherwise very placid family dog wouldn’t let the babysitter anywhere near me. Sat by the cot and growled at her whenever she tried to touch me, apparently 😀

When I was born, my parents had a dog named Jamie, and Jamie took me on as a personal responsibility. When I got old enough to walk, if I went outside to play, Jamie would follow me the whole time. If I got near the edges of the yard, Jamie would grab my diaper and sit me on my butt, to let me know I wasn't allowed to leave the yard. She would also alert my parents if she thought I was getting into something, and they weren't paying enough attention. Later Jamie had one beautiful puppy we named JJ, and JJ thought that the diaper pulling was a hilarious game, and would chase me around the yard, and randomly sit me down, no matter where I was in the yard. Poor Jamie had to train both of us, she was such a sweet dog.
Tell me a nice pet story if you have one!
