     @phaedral I've lived in L.A. my entire life, so this isn't new. But this didn't feel like a truck rolling by. It was jello-y and loud.

     So funny how people think (not you) I have no idea how quakes feel.

     @wendinoakland @phaedral Yes. We're just over the hill from Malibu, and in a hotel on the 3rd floor, so we felt it. Small, but loud and weird in a hotel room

     @GottaLaff @wendinoakland We had a 4-something a couple months ago, in Highland Park. I work on the 5th floor downtown. Never felt such a jolt! From a tiny little 4-something quake!

     For those not familiar with earthquake proofing high rise buildings here's sort of what I was looking at on the B of A plans...seems they have been putting it to use successfully.

     I disagree with the wording on this example though, I think the building still moves somewhat
