     @dushman @sun @lucy @evamik @newt I've heard the EU are also the ones pressuring Threads to use ActivityPub by funding it, seems like they want it to be the standard.

     @sun @dushman @lucy @newt @evamik I couldn't make Threads federate when I joined an instance that theoretically wasn't blocked. I could follow accounts on Threads from the instance but no actual posts would go through.
     
     Kind of wild how inefficient things get the moment money touches it.
