   @meowski @Disa It comes down to the same point I tried to make earlier: how good a country's laws are should be judged in relation to how much the core population of that country like them. Whether foreigners dislike those laws is completely irrelevant, and changing your laws to accomodate foreigners is idiotic. Dubai locals are pretty happy with it, and most of them are wealthy, so Dubai is doing it right.
   
   As for "just a plant", I doubt you want to have cannabis because you just like how the leaves look and enjoy looking at a potted plant on your balcony.

     The concept of people living anywhere and making the rules is absurd, as long as the rules are made and interpreted by some few. Don't ask where the destitute go, ask by what right the mighty do.

     @sun @whoopsie @Disa This. I considered employement in Qatar before the world cup, since it was an assload of money for a year of work with all expenses covered. Ultimately decided against it because I hate hot climates.
