     Tbh, those worry me a lot less than than the increasingly emboldened Judeo-Christinanity lobby. Regardless of who's in power, it's gonna be ongoing genocide as usual, but in the case of Trump, also including Christinanity nationalism directed inwardly to try and make 'Murica violently delusional and superstitious again.

     ...also acting as if literally every single president in all of American history wasn't a criminal. Washington opposed his King, Abraham Lincoln sentenced a reporter to death and rescinded most constitutional rights (and started a Civil War), HW Bush's father (Prescot) sold oil to the Nazis and helped murder Kennedy, Kennedy authorized the Bay of Pigs, W Bush blew up two three American buildings and blamed it on some brown people, Obama did Reagan Iranian Contra Part 2: Fast and Furious (CIA backed gun running) and Trump assassinated an Iranian general and warp sped the most dangerous drug into peoples' arms.

     If people truly understood how the world worked, they'd keep their head downs, ignore most of it, and make a nice Thanksgiving meal for the people who really matter in their lives.

     I was just thinking the typical progressive woman response to a statement like this would be something like "well why not? That's mysoginy!". And I realised this is the same logical error as when you say "most women are like x", and sure enough everytime someone will pipe up with "well I'm a woman and I'm not like x".

     i remember some of the tinfoils on him is Eisenhower was a big chungus military man and the deep state was scared of his ass (and not fully entrenched yet.) after the handoff they weren't really scared of JFK. he wasn't going to shove the army up the CIA's ass if they refused to give him some report he wanted.
     
     keeping in mind that very weird exit speech from eisenhower where he basically says the country has been taken over by the military industrial complex

     I think the MIC speech really gets a lot more currency than it should in the alt and peacenik circles.
     
     When he said "whether sought or unsought" he really gave them the benefit of the doubt. But more importantly, the context of the speech (and his peacenik tendencies) was the fiscal explosion of the defense sector.
     
     Whereas tinfoil preppers tend to put more focus on, like, war propaganda and the manufacture of consent. Cultural issues, slippery slope, 1984.

     I think that in the historiography, #JFK's early departure and the ambiguity behind it, gave him a lot more of a historical legacy than he actually earned in his lifetime.
     
     Yeah, he didn't fuckup the missile crisis too bad, but he did fuckup the Bay of Pigs invasion in the run-up to the missile crisis. And he also sleepwalked into the Vietnam War for the entire duration of his presidency; the American involvement was slowly intensifying the entire time.

     reagan got short films, bush jr got decks of 3.5 index cards. i have no idea what they give trump.

     I def agree that JFK was a soft boy, and a silver spoon kid. The voters picked him for no goddamn reason.
     
     Nothing new under the sun.
     
     #Truman was actually pretty based in my opinion. A real no-nonsense sort.
     
     Maybe a bunch of my moots here don't like the WW2 politicians, but Truman, in my opinion, played the hand he was dealt and he played it well.

     @KuteboiCoder @djsumdog i've read some on to it and the emperor was basically talking toward surrender but the japanese wanted an assurance they weren't going to go genocide the imperial family (though they weren't happy he was trying to surrender in the first place) and truman was like no it has to be unconditional because my epeen needs it to be
     
     apparently they had to do a lot of bypassing of officers and chicanery because nobody was actually willing to do it (especially twice.)

     I know his personal achievements really paled in comparison to Eisenhower's (to put it mildly). His campaign really went negative with it's-time-for-change and "let's get America moving"
