    Look, those of you telling me "they purposely threw the election," or "they wanted a fascist mandate" need to understand a couple things:

    A) I'm the lady who has been telling you for 10 years that these muppets would prefer fascism to sharing, so I'm not at all unfamiliar with your reasoning.

    B) I can't PROVE they threw it, so I'm not gonna say that. It's not that I am certain you're wrong, I just can't prove it and I try not to emphatically state shit I can't prove. You MAY be right. I dunno.

      You trust me, because when I'm POUNDING the table and screaming my head off, you KNOW I can prove it. And often you watch me do exactly that.

      I can't prove this. You might be right. Or, they might have their heads so far up their asses they can taste mouthwash. I can't prove it. If I could, I would say what you're asking me to say. The idea is not alien to me; not as a political analysis, NOR as a student of the history of fascist movements. I know when the shit jumps off libs join the nazis.

      @AnarchoNinaWrites I think they really did want to win but only on the extremely weird terms their big donors demanded

      @waitworry I suspect, but again, cannot prove, that this is the more accurate representation of reality.

      They are owned by, and work for rich people; so they want to win, but only on narrow terms that are acceptable to rich people. At some point, if the only way to win, is dismantling the fuck barrel on a boiling planet, they would prefer fascism.

      I just can't exactly PROVE that. But I suspect you're right, or more right than people saying both teams wanted Trump to win.

      @waitworry @AnarchoNinaWrites

      Well, *I* am a principal believer here of The Great Democrat Tank Job; and while I don't expect anyone to follow or endorse me and my theory because it's based solely on my personal notions on the motives of the folks running the DNC and their biggest donors and financiers, I will stand by my theory to the end.

      Though, I acknowledge that most Democrats really do want to win, albeit on their terms.

      @waitworry @AnarchoNinaWrites

      I'm willing to accept the view that while a majority of Democrats do want to beat the Republicans and rule at least as "sensible centrists", there is a large and powerful elite sector, reinforced by the larger institutional forces and the inertia of our privatized and monetized political system, which is inclined to serve as a block to any attempt to break their right-wing consensus rule with the Republicans. It just so happens that they now run the party.

      @AnthonyJK @waitworry

      Yeah, that FEELS more accurate to me than "they purposely threw the election to Trump" and doesn't argue with my idea that the people running society would prefer fascism to sharing, even the people running society who call themselves liberals.

      Again tho, I can't REALLY say either way. It FEELS true. But I don't write things unless I know they're true.

      But absolutely I am not saying either position is WRONG. Again, I've said for 10 years they'd pick fascism over sharing

      @AnarchoNinaWrites @AnthonyJK @waitworry I hope its also what people mean but cant convey.

      Half of the time i have had rewritten my comments 8 times so they are readable and get the message across.

      About the topic Crimethink wrote this:

      "Because neoliberal globalization has made it difficult for state structures to mitigate the impact of capitalism on ordinary people, no party is able to hold state power for long without losing credibility."

      Thats also more along the lines AnthonyJK argued.
