     @rysiek interesting. the BDFL governance model apparently requires extraordinary self-awareness and humility out of a BDFL. Guido must have been a shining example.

     GoToSocial is something I am watching closely and want to set up a personal instance on.

     MissKey is uhh a whole different ball of wax.

     As much as I would love to see more software diversity in the fedi space, Mastodon-the-software is kinda "it" for a lot of communities.

     @rysiek Does it have to be Mastodon? There's GoToSocial, MissKey and various other Fediverse servers, too.
