@snigdha 1/2 Anyone that I think would be better is my own opinion. If Biden had kept his promise to be a one term president earlier, the dems could have run a primary. If the dems had let the primaries in 2020 go by without consolidating behind Biden, we could be in a second Sanders term. Going back even further, if the dem party had stopped racist redistricting and gerrymandering, or the anti-democratic electoral at any time in the last several years, votes would be generally more fair

Sanders would have been my preference, though. He would have turned out progressives in huge numbers and has also maintained consistent vocal opposition to Israel's excessive violence.

Sanders might have moved the needle in 2016, but not in 2020. People wanted stability and normalcy after the Trump chaos and Biden, who had been Obama's vice president, was the right person to provide that. He was also good for gobbling up Republican votes. I guess being female and not white was what kept Harris from getting those votes.

It would have made more sense for Harris to say she’ll have Sanders or lefties at her cabinet, not a Republican.
