Survival is Insufficient (survival_is_insufficient@ni.hil.ist)'s status on Sunday, 10-Nov-2024 07:35:37 JST Survival is Insufficient @schratze Sharks are so traumatized when they are handled by people out of water that sometimes they never recover afterwards and have “failure to thrive” disease and death. It is unethical to take a selfie with a shark before throwing it back in the water— too traumatic for them.

Survival is Insufficient (survival_is_insufficient@ni.hil.ist)'s status on Sunday, 10-Nov-2024 07:36:24 JST Survival is Insufficient @schratze Sharks can remember things they have been trained to do long after not doing it— like 3 months or more. Just for reference, trained service dogs forget their skills after about 6 months of not using them.
