     Which is a problem since Republicans have no desire to nor any knowledge of how to actually wield power. The next four years are going to be interesting and the shitlibs will use every last trick in the book, especially mobilizing on police shootings, to delegitimize the next administration.

     No, Matty, I'm afraid of uncertainty. I hear a lot of things. I've been seeing people acting weirdly all day, either extremely aggressive at the drop of a hat or being emotional on the other end of the spectrum. Trump isn't even president yet and everyone is acting all out of sorts. It isn't normal to be in a place of work and crying about an election.

     I don't know but it's just comforting that it's an option if things really do go down that route. I'm okay with death and guts and blood and all that given my job but in a context outside of work it's a different story.

     @Owl @matty @Turdicus ok, so that's already like .04% of the .05% happening chance. There is nearly 0% chance something bigger than that happening.
     
     If something was bigger, it would brew from a city sized disturbance outwards and would take several days. You could tell it was different than the managed chaos of BLM riots.
     
     In that case the best bet would be to get to an area controlled by a state level NG that wasn't controlled by an insane governor.

     @Owl @matty @Turdicus it does work more like that than you'd think. Its a mental process in people; For example - people ok with a day or two of no power will start getting crazy on day 5.
     
     But yes, if people started destroying infrastructure that immediately sets the clock started. But - even in democratic states, this would be more chaos than they want ( they would personally be afraid ) and thus they would be more ready to have curfews and such.

     This is all well and good but chaos doesn't work in percentages and forecast models once it gets going. Especially if people decide to do something crazy like deliberately sabotage power and water grids. People are insane when they feel they can be.

     It's just much easier to be a hermit, a pariah. And that is something I struggle with immensely as the desire to be human and engage with that kind of personhood struggles with the possibility of letting someone down or hurting someone, or being hurt.
