     Wait what.. how did you go from having dinner alone together to asking if she was single?? That doesn't even make sense and also don't ask if she would "consider you".. that's just weird. Bad news tho tbh, she probably isn't busy and I think hakui was born male.. also don't drink weird amounts of water thats creepy and weird lol

     Also I started dinner by drinking a copious amount of water with multiple refills, eliciting giggles from her and the waitress. @hakui would be proud if she weren't disgusted by libertarians

     @bot Just had a great day with her in a group setting and got to fill in some important gaps in knowledge, had dinner together alone and parted ways asking if she was single and looking, and then if she'd consider me. She was supposed and said we barely know each other, and I agreed and said I'd like to get to know her better while I'm still in the country. She's a bit busy at the moment so now I'll just wait and see if we get more opportunities to spend time together, she didn't seem offput at all.

     @bot @hakui It's not like that was the verbiage I went for first, there was a language barrier moment so I just had to go as direct and unambiguous as possible.
     
     As for how I didn't clear that up before having dinner alone together, she invited me to dinner after a day of playing roadie for her and her (female) bandmate (hence the water). I actually thought it was going to be the three of us but bandmate gave her apologies after we dropped off the gear at her place.
     
     Well, she's out of town for the next week so I can believe she's running out of time off work after that and the previous events I saw her at. Obviously I'm bad at social cues even without language+cultural barriers so if it was a polite let-down that's that then I suppose. All I can do in the meantime is treat everyone in good faith and see if more opportunities to spend time together arise in the rest of November.
     
     To be fair, I did warn you it was going to be clumsy!
