     I kept hearing people brag this place up. I don't go out to eat often but my sister wanted to take me out for my birthday

     oh, many such cases.
     
     there’s a place next to me that I keep trying the food and it’s just garbage. I keep having hope but I keep getting disappointed

     It was a cafeteria style BBQ place that charges sit-down fancy restaurant prices and servers cheap liquor at top shelf prices. Then they had the gall to have a lounge musician warble shity music so loudly you couldn't talk to the person next to you.
