     There has, huh?

     Forn-some reason I liked steady repeat business. But I was gouging small corporations and other business that had the money and needed my services.

     It seems different when dealing with mereortals in their private homes. No wonder I am so loathe to hire for these home jobs and just do them all myself. Except for that time theain sewer line broke... I was happy to pay for our plumber to tackle that horror. Came out to significantly less than $1000, too.

     Skilled plumbing labor in Hawaii costs a fortune.
     A journeyman in any trade could come here and coast into retirement. There’s hardly any skilled labor here.

     Idunno, man. If it hurts too much the first time, they will be less motivated to call again.

     For new clients, I liked to normally exactly what they asked for and nothing else.

     Keep them wanting more so they call again!

     Yes. It’s easy too upsell from a small job too a $1,000 dollar job that you can complete in one day.
     Once you get on a property you start looking for all the little extra stuff that needs too be done.

     By 97, I quit that altogether and moved to the big city and met my wife. Switched to doing random odd jobs for awhile, seems fun in retrospect... Maybe I should try that again. Probably not.

     Yes. I was an early adopter of the internet. In 1995 I was the only one in my entire Army battery on AOL. I eventually stumbled upon Henry Ford’s books The International Jew, The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion and the USS Liberty survivors website. That’s how I cut my teeth on the JQ in the late 90s.
     Someone actually transcribed those books onto their websites because scanners didn’t exist yet.

     Lol 1995 is "early adopter", via AOL, no less? Lol. Dial up to BBSes with newsgroups and IRC and those MUD type games were way fun.

     AOL was kinda fun for a little while too, though. I got windows95 to brush up on stuff to do a better job as AOL tech support. We got basically no training and just a set of canned answers to give. That job was lame.

     But I digress..

     It took me a few years too lean into the JQ, but 20 years ago I went full Edward Norton.
