     I've long entertained the notion of running my own instance, but I've been too slow to set it up, and I don't wish to wait till the last minute :-(

     oh, no, sorry, I was unclear. I just meant that it has been taking me so long to set up my own instance that I'm not confident I'd be ready in time, so I am moving to a new third-party instance instead of rushing it
