I was amazed when Trump won Pennsylvania in 2016. It's not quite the Quixotic quest for the GOP that, say, Virginia has become. But it still is a tough haul.

@PatrickCooper Democrat party insiders claim Shapiro, Newsom and all the other big names turned Kamala down.

Walz was the best she could get.

@judgedread @PatrickCooper Newsom and Shapiro may be psychopaths but they aren't stupid, no need to have the perma-stink of nationwide failure on you forever (see: Mitt Romney, John McCain)

@DailyStormerDigest My novelty take if Trump wins PA is that Shapiro wanted Kamala out of the way, either because he covets the presidency or because he's a super zionist and thinks Trump is better for Israel.

@judgedread @DailyStormerDigest Or there was not a Shapiro 2028 deal and he's annoyed at being bypassed for Walz.

Putting Shapiro on the ticket would have covered any level of PA fraud. I still can't fathom what they thought Walz brings to the table.

@TrevorGoodchild @judgedread @PatrickCooper yeah, this would also explain their complaint of "not vetting Walz enough" - they may have expected someone like Shaprio to sign on and then when all of their top picks passed they had to scramble.

I like how vetting implies "how many uncontrollable skeletons are in the closet?"
