Dianora (Diane Bruce) (dianora@ottawa.place)'s status on Saturday, 26-Oct-2024 22:52:24 JST Dianora (Diane Bruce) All the articles on "Induced demand" that I have seen so far (Apparently there is Induced traffic vs. Induced demand) are automobile-centric eg. even this recent CBC one https://www.cbc.ca/news/science/bike-lanes-impacts-1.7358319
Seems pretty clear to me (Even if I am not a transportation engineer, I only play one on the Internets 😀) that it also applies to bus/LRT transit and bicycle lanes. Build them and people will use them. Something our mayor here in Ottawa (and our Premier) do not seem to understand.#Ottawa #LRT #OttBike #Transit #Transportation #TransportationEngineering
