Yes, the Republicans from Reagan to Trumpster represent a genuine fascist challenge and a vile threat to everything good and human. NO, the current Democrat nominee is NOT the solution. An Indy Left movement IS.

Calling Trump the second coming of Hitler, Mussolini, and Pinochet all wrapped in one grotesque body kind of loses its punch when your "antifascist" nominee decides to woo the likes of the Cheneys, the Bushes, and even the Reaganites who have done plenty to spread the very fascism they claim that Trumpster represents. And, all this while directly aiding and abetting one of the most prolific genocidal land grab campaigns since Hitler's seizure of South Asia.

For all the claims that Copmala soooooo wants a "ceasefire" and wants to contain Bibi, she sure has a strange way of showing it by....continuing to openly praise and back Israel while Biden continues to throw weapons and bucks at their feet to burn more Arab/Palestinian/Lebanese folks alive.

It's not as if plenty of the items found on the right-wing template of Project 2025 have been proposed for the past 50 or so years by its founding org the Heritage Foundation, like in 1983, in 1985, in 1990, in 2002, in 2005, in 2016....Oh, wait, they have!! And it's not as if Democrats have had ample warning and even more ample power to counteract the Right's offensive with their own power....oh, wait, they already had with the Clintons, Obama, and Biden??
So, why are we here after all that?

I mean, the American people did elect Bill Clinton and Barack Obama each to 2 terms in office, and one term to Joe Biden, with the mandate to reverse the horrid fascist mandate of the GOP Right and reinforce all those progressive rights Democrats claim to represent, right?? RIGHT?? Why they even gave Obama and Bill Clinton overwhelming majorities in Congress to enact these policies (less so with Biden, but he did promise somewhat of a liberal mandate before he defaulted to Manchinema austerity).

Soooo....if Democrats and Democrats alone represent the only alternative capable of rolling back GOP fascism and especially the dire threat of Trumpster, then how in THEE HELL were Republicans so able to advance forward even during years of Democratic Party rule?
Was it because Republicans are kniving folk with sneaky agendas?
Or maybe it's because the Democrats, especially their corporate wealthy wing, has warmed themselves to the fruits of right-wing policies & are gradually adopting them?

You can't talk about the evil threat of the Heritage Foundation's right-wing agenda while adopting their own privatization of healthcare (which is what the ACA/"Obamacare" was really about, albeit sprinkled with "pre-existing conditions" protections and modest increases in Medicaid as a dumping ground for those seeping through the cracks. (Medicaid, as well as the rest of the social safety net, is now being shredded in the name of "workfare" and "deficit reduction" and "self-sufficiency".)

Corporate duopoly rule, on the other hand, manages to overcome splits and deliver the goods to the chosen golden ones. Two conservative parties may disagree on the tactics and methods, but on the fundamentals of maintaining capital's rule they are joined at the hip.
And, they are moving hard Right socially as well.

But, that's not the real beef I have with Democrats. It is what it is.
The REAL issue is that these Democrats continue to lambaste Indy Leftists like me who have concluded a long time ago that the entire system is totally wacked out and cow dung, and that neither Democrats or Republicans are the solution.
As if we are only bound to support Democrats who still fundamentally reject our values simply to "beat back the fascists"....for absolutely NOTHING in return for our commitment.

If I had a dime for every time I see a post, a tweet, a skeet, a toot, or any other prose in social media lecturing and browbeating an Indy Leftist or an opponent/critic of the Democratic ticket that they were "helping Trump win" even if they never intend to cast a single vote *for* any GOP candidate, I wouldn't have to apply for disability.
I know that most of it is trolling and agitprop by paid DNC agents, but still, the arguement is everywhere.
And, it is still pure BULLSHIT.

But what about the marginalized, the under/non-privileged, & the rejects who get thrown under the bus everytime the Democrats decide to go full "triangulation" and adapt a conservative- to right-wing policy wrapped in fake liberal bunting?
The responses range from "Oh, we really do care about you; just give us more Democrats in power and we will fix things much better!!" when Democrats need Left/"progressive" votes to bail them out; to "Whatever, losers...you didn't vote for us, so eff you!!"
