Fuck Bluesky. It right off the bat sounded like something from a Conservative Party focus group or "brainstorm" session of techbro "blue sky thinking" horseshit and has certainly lived down to expectations, from cosplaying decentralisation to cushioning the blow for folks leaving Twitter and wanting something similarly endorsed by commercial forces while we were all here building up some damn fine servers on Mastodon. Get in the fucking sea. Along with Meta's vile shit. Can we please stop trying to reinvent the fucking wheel all because some mindless unoriginal normies hopped onto something and told us it was "cool."

So many people stuck on using Meta and "X" (and, yes, Bluesky) are so fucking miserable in those online places because the codes of conduct are so fucking shitty, and we wouldn't accept them in-person, so we should reject them online. It's not about keeping up with the normies, it's about building the spaces we want the world to be comprised of.
