     @sickburnbro @nugger @judgedread the system as it is today is maintained by popular support, and those who do choose to rebel are punished primarily by average people. the feds don’t make blacklists for jobs, average people do. look at rittenhouse. he’s got no way to support himself because nobody will hire him. he is by no definitions a free man.
     as the government distances itself from the will of the people, more people become receptive to the idea that something radical might need to happen in order for things to change. people begin to look for different solutions, perhaps even solutions outside the system, to fix their problems. when this happens, activism of all forms becomes less punished by average people and therefore more likely to happen.
     however, should trump be elected, the desire for a solution outside the system (the only solution) becomes less appealing, as a normie can continue to justify their oppression by saying, “things got a little better when I voted red.”
