    @Hyperhidrosis @monkyyy Source code doesn't pertain to hardware, thus "open source" is not relevant.

    People have made custom inkjet printers.

    I agree that everything "open source" is garbage, although everything that is free software is great.

    Kyocera's printers use free software and GNU/Linux, but they are not providing the source code (I hope for a lawsuit).

      No Need for Speed with This Arduino-Based Inkjet Printer
      from Dan Maloney
      When it comes to computers, it seems like the only thing that matters is speed. The more the better, in general, and the same applies to peripherals. We want the fastest network adapters, the faste…

      DIY Inkjet Printer
      This is my attempt to build an open source inkjet printer by myself without industrial manufacturing. The printhead can later be used as add-on for CNC machines eg. for part labeling, binder jetting 3D printing or other applications where an inkjet printhead could be useful. The printhead is controlled by an Arduino which can be controlled directly via i2c or via GCODE (M260) if you use RAMPS or another board which supports i2c.

      @RichardJohnson @phnt do you think they kill whoever tried to make an open source printer outright, or just bribe them to stop or inject spyware?

      @phnt

      The yellow is the most important color, because that is the color used to print the tracking dots that can identify you as the person who printed the document.
