@pfefferle @mattwiebe honestly this is a tough one. Mastodon uses the (half) moon icon though I'm personally not a fan of it 🙈

@mattwiebe @cheeaun @pfefferle after reading this thread I had to re look into what @phanpy is doing vs what Mastodon is doing. The fact that everyone is doing this slightly differently is sort of a nightmare.
looking through the WordPress icons you have available you could do the same as Phanpy is doing

seems like there isn't a moon icon in WP icons but I think the one Mastodon chose makes zero sense for this either.

@pfefferle @mattwiebe @cheeaun @phanpy I actually had to look up what exactly the Mastodon setting for "Quiet Public" even does even though I have been using the fediverse everyday since like 2017 and was surprised to see that it marks posts as not searchable or viewable from the hashtags included. All I had remembered that Unlisted had done was make it not show up in feeds of people who are not following me like in a public timeline. But I see its now doing quite a few more things.
