THE ATLANTIC OCEAN WAS COLDER THAN AVERAGE THIS YEAR

why does everyone keep saying that it's warmer than usual? It wasn't! the gulf may have been warmer than usual, but the atlantic was COLDER - earlier in the year they were running stories about the mid-atlantic current was weakening and that europe would freeze to death by 2050. Anyone else remember that?

I know you're joking and all, but the Northern Lights thing is interesting because it could indicate a pole flip is coming. Humanity relies a lot more on GPSes today so it wouldn't be as bad. But the magnetic field weakening could also lead to another "carrington event" .. which in today's electronics age, would be absolutely catastrophic.

There was a really interesting Darkhorse podcast about it back in May:

Yea and I honestly don't like Ben Davidson's take in that interview. He's a real doomer without a blowoff. Look if something like cosmic rays, asteroid, zombies, solar flare .. whatever happens ... like you can't prepare for that.

If humanity survives, then the part that does will probably just forget, and 10,000 years later someone will find old hard drives under layers of thin black tar the ancients called "asphalt" and used as roads. The disks were thought to hold a information in a format long forgotten format .... 100 million years and the buildings, asphalt and all traces of our sentience disappears forever ...
