     Getting hit when a car is turning left takes some real skill. People turning right into parking lots, etc., are far more dangerous.

     I biked to and from class in college. I have a lot of experience. College students aren't exactly known for their great driving.

     @Humpleupagus @Tony @Folklore @Frank @ForbiddenDreamer @suquili one of them tried to isekai themselves just like that in front of me once. must have suffered too many traumatic brain injuries to understand what the giant RIGHT TURN ONLY sign meant.
     i would have been very mad, i didn't have a grill guard at the time. now we're in better shape, but i still encourage all bike fags to purchase only lightweight aluminum or carbon fiber bikes and not wear a helmet cause that could dent sheet metal.

     No. I have skills. There a few close calls though. There was a shopping mall near my apartment, and every now and then some kid would try to speed around me into the parking lot. The problem was that it was on a hill and so stopping wasn't an option. I was also in good shape and could out meneuver most cars. I could easily hit 35mph in a sprint and get my heart rate over 200 back then. I was young though. I couldn't do that today.

     but then i got tall enough to ride an ATV so the bike wasn't useful anymore
