And sells others separate etc. And in heavy engineering firms "standards" are set, and hard to move away from.. But it's often used in combination (at least for me).
I work in the oil industry and use inventor, 3dsmax every single day for the last 19 years.. But I squeeze in blender where I can, and use it for all personal projects.

Now, ofc I have no data about this, but it seems that Blender keeps growing - the moment it will be a clear danger for Maya it will be too late for Maya to steer. They probably need to do something radical now.
