   It is infuriating that you can't access all your banking data through an API. So every month I'd have to log into a site and download CSVs.

     @eriner I worked at a company that did financial services and I fucking hated Plaid and Yodlee because they wrote scrapers and would pound the shit out of our servers. Should we have had an API? Yes, but also no one asked us.

     @sun At least woob works with my bank but I really wish there would be a standard API for customers, after all even with some ATMs of different banks I can access some of my account details, so it likely already exists.
     (Pretty useful to have when your bank isn't present in the city/region you're in and don't have your computer with you)

     I found a service that aggregates your finances (undoubtedly using scraper services) and has an API, although it is not documented and they apparently just don't try and stop you from using it.

     @sun Be grateful your bank allows you to:
     
     1. Login to a web interface on a browser
     
     2. Download a CSV
     
     My bank only allows me to access it through a proprietary Android app which requires me to bend over backwards to trick it into thinking I'm running a stock OS. And it has no means of exporting my data.
