anime graf mays ?️? (graf@poa.st)'s status on Sunday, 29-Sep-2024 15:53:32 JST anime graf mays ?️? @gentoobro its not even about that anymore. canada is one of the worlds top producers of beef. if not the top at least top 3. our grocery here since covid started has been importing australian beef -- beef that sits on shipping docks for days before, during transit and after before it even makes it to distribution. beef from alberta is sold and on dock for distribution in less than 3 days.
retards here selling our beef to americans for $$$$$ and importing SHIT australian beef that has "aged" for like 2 months (not advertised as aged either)
IM sick of these niggas straight upBowserNoodle ☦️ likes this. -

I don't want to buy seeds or an existing plant but I know store ginger is sprayed with stuff to prevent rooting, so it's recommended to soak it in water beforehand.

gentoobro (gentoobro@shitpost.cloud)'s status on Monday, 30-Sep-2024 14:13:32 JST gentoobro Yes, for the Mexican definition of "storebought" which means "grown by Juan Carlos on his farm in the next state over and trucked in two days ago in his clapped out 1987 Ford Ranger with welded suspension."
Merely washing your industrial ginger might not be enough. Best if you can find a piece at the store that is already sprouting. Maybe the organic section, or the farmer's market would be better. Dunno.
You can chop it into small sections to grow a lot of plants. They don't like the full sun here, but will probably grow fine in an open field in Canada. Make sure the soil is well-drained, and they get plenty of water. Their natural habitat is sandy stream banks.

gentoobro (gentoobro@shitpost.cloud)'s status on Monday, 30-Sep-2024 14:13:33 JST gentoobro Ginger is a very productive and easy crop to grow, if you can find some rhizomes that are still alive. We grew it in one 50cm x 50cm planter on the roof last year and harvested 10lbs. This year we have a lot more planter space and it will be several times that.
