@leighms@countcol we have coyotes and 🐻 and mountain lions, so even ten miles out of the city, not a good idea. But that's pretty much how the company does it, they put the right bugs in with you and keep the temp right, and boom, dust to dust.
@Wendelin I was talking about this recently on another thread with @compost - check out the Humanure Handbook. This guy has been hot composing his whole life and says he regularly puts "animal fatalities" in the compost. He says if covered with the correct material there will be no smell and no critters. So, depends on the compost technique. Personally I need a bit more experience first.
