@dr2chase let's be real, there's not a lot i could vote for in a FPTP two party system in the first place. the biggest vote suppression is a legalized duopoly of corrupt parties.

@quinn registration and access is vote-suppressing bullshit, and your reaction is part of the plan. And, sadly, there's a whole lot of stupid people who have no doubts about their opinions or reservations about their ignorance, they are going to vote.

In most states we vote for f***ing judges. Have you voted for a judge? I know I have. Who? I have no idea or if they went on to eat babies. At this point I don't even care, there's too many other things I'm supposed to vote on. That's not democracy, it's insanity. And then there's the gauntlet of registration and access. I can't even deal with that right now, but I've been mysteriously unregistered so damn many times in my life. Do any of my votes count? Fuck if I knew there's no way to check.

It's great if you have something like SF's League of Pissed Off Voters, and you trust them, but without someone you trust or a lot of time and basically a polisci degree voting in America is a goddamn mine field. Is the way the question is phrase lined up with yes or no? Has any of the campaigning been honest? What the hell is all of this and how long will it take?

We need to stop lying to people about their votes. If you care mainly about national issues and you don't live in a swing state your vote is worthless. If there's some close down ballot stuff, and you want to get engaged in that, sure. But if you don't have the time to study things like local races and ballot measure, you might end up doing (on your own terms) more harm that good.
