     @SuperDicq @eblu Simple: misaki_cosplay_trip is the AMAZING cosplayer with her dance who performed at animecon and DCC. Now, she is on insta (and threads) and threads.net is of course federated with mastodon.social. But god-f-damnit, not her account.

     I can search for threads.net users and find a shitload of them, I can follow Mark f**cking Zuckerberg on here, but not here.

     which si fine, I follow her on insta, but it would have saved the tab you know D:

     All Threads has done implement the ActivityPub protocol on their proprietary platform. The Mastodon project has nothing to do with this.

     @SuperDicq @eblu How it relates to this post is simple: we can follow threads.net accounts now. I just wish it were opt-out instead of opt-in so all the cosplayers were on here at once XD

     Now I have to open insta everytime for the 3048324823042 cosplayers I follow. XD

     Last time I checked, mastodon was open source, and meta was a biggu companie, do I need to say more? XD
