     @kirby@lab.nyanide.com @mischievoustomato@mitra.taihou.website but you compile everything how you want, which arch doesn't let you do unless you make your own pkg builds for everything. I'm telling y'all the speed improvements are noticeable on Gentoo

     @kirby@lab.nyanide.com @mischievoustomato@mitra.taihou.website I have a 12+ year old iMac I test distros on and Gentoo is the only one I can manage to get a workable environment going on. Everything else has noticeable lag or bad load times. On more modern machines though, yeah, probably not as noticeable.

     @mischievoustomato Yes, if you set ACCEPT_LICENSE="-* @FREE -Artistic" and make sure to install Linux-libre and not a proprietary version of Linux.

     @kirby@lab.nyanide.com @mischievoustomato@mitra.taihou.website I usually test the same setup across them all. I also have a LOT of use flags disabled, basically only enabling what is absolutely needed for the bare minimum.
