If you have a .fla file with Flash assets, how do you use them in something people use in 2024?
What can convert a .fla to something that can be imported to Krita, Blender or Roblox Studio?

@clacke Have you tried VLC or something adjacent?
@clacke You can try this
https://www.sothink.com/product/flashdecompiler/download.htm
(free trial will at least let you see what it can do)
or
https://fileproinfo.com/tools/viewer/fla
Intriguing subject. I don't have any .fla files; maybe a dusty old .swf in a closet.
@mansr Yeah it's an fla, not an flv.
No, I'm not sure. 😅
Maybe in the end I'd need an actual Flash authoring tool to get this thing out.
We found another source with some low-resolution PNGs for now.
@clacke Oh, you have an actual Flash thing, not just a video wrapped in a Flash container because that was the style at the time.
Maybe you can find some tool from the same era able to pick it apart. You'll probably need an equally old copy of Windows to run it on, of course.
Are you sure it's worth the trouble?
