   Interesting. Just back from a short photo walk to test out the iPhone 16 Pro camera/filters/etc…

   Granted it’s a too hot afternoon for September in Chicago (89 at the moment) but seeing Syncing paused because “iPhone needs to cool down” is surprising. Was only outdoors about 30 minutes. #iPhone16Pro #photography

     @josh I have seen that happen with the 15Pro on a hot day when attached to a charger on my dashboard in the car and occasionally on really hot days otherwise. I was just surprised as the iPhone didn’t feel hot to the touch and certainly I’ve been out in hotter weather snapping shots.

     You could be correct about all the backend stuff going on as a contributing factor, given that I did some filter work requireing I’m sure quite a bit of processing while shooting. But who knows?

     @WarnerCrocker I had a charging wait for cool down on my 15 Pro. I wonder if iOS 18 is being a little more temperature sensitive, or if the first few days generate more CPU than in previous versions.

     It’s definitely felt a bit warmer by my unscientific measure since I updated to iOS 18.

     @thestrangelet Well, they haven’t released Apple Intelligence yet, much less Apple Emotions, but that is always a distinct possibility that the ghost in the machine is a bit angry.
