     Yes, that could be it. Trump loves flattery. There was an article that claimed the KGB started working on Trump when he was a young but rising name in the New York real estate market. He was very susceptible to flattery even then.

     I think #putin told him that he is the best president that the usa ever had. the bestest one. really no one had been better than him. and also his golf skills are the bestest. and that he has videotapes that prove it. tapes that prove that he is the bestest at everything. really at anything.

     He’s just winging his foreign policies. He has no clue on what his “policies” would mean for the USA and the world in the long run. All he’s interested in is to further his own personal agenda, which for some reason includes the wellbeing of Putin and his cronies.

     forgetting how much antagonistic he has been with iran when he was president.
