      @cassidyclown @ruina that's bizarre-- when dreams "lose fidelity" for me, the imagery "breaks down"-- like a face may look like one person one moment and a different one the next, or there may be huge empty areas or outright just black gaps in the scenery. It's like whatever in my head is generating this imagery just forgot who or what was supposed to go there and left a placeholder

      @cajax @ruina I get that as well, especially when I'm lucid dreaming and trying to keep the dream going but I'm waking up. Once I was flying in a lucid dream and turned around too quickly and there were just black tiles where the ground hadn't "loaded in" like it was google earth and then I woke up.

      @cassidyclown @ruina that's interesting-- I never got tiles, it was always dark blobs, or just an area of empty dirt or pavement. It always seemed like a specific object was missing from there, like a building or a tree or just the whole corner of a room would be dark

      Idk it's really about how it affects the relationship ig. If my bf were to spend like a week playing a game he was really excited about then I'd be ok with that (not for hours and hours tho), but if it's a consistent thing that's always taking away from out together time then it wouldn't.

      I just like the idea. I tried to play soma but it was too scary, I made it like maybe 15 min in? I got stuck in a room and I just couldn't build up the courage to go any further. I tried several times too btw, but the sounds were honestly too much and terrifying.
