So yeah, #Microsoft says flat out that #Windows Recall is going to be inevitably in your PC whether you like it or not. https://www.theverge.com/2024/9/2/24233992/microsoft-recall-windows-11-uninstall-feature-bug

And remember, all new PCs are going to be Copilot+ PCs eventually and inevitably so buy a non Copilot+ PC while you still can so you can install #Linux into it!

Oh by the way, #Windows 10 is still the top Windows userbase and I still feel they may not have a choice but to extend Windows 10 support if this trend continues into next year unless they risk a lot of backlash from every sector.

      Here's a recent piece on this. https://www.zdnet.com/article/microsoft-has-a-big-windows-10-problem-and-only-one-year-to-solve-it/

@ParadeGrotesque There are options out there yes as long as that consumer knows how to look for. The Framework laptops are good ones and building one's own PC is another good option.

@cenbe Basically, they're fully AI-powered computers with a fully AI-powered ARM SoC chip.

More here although lots of folks are worried and understandably so. https://blogs.microsoft.com/blog/2024/05/20/introducing-copilot-pcs/
