     @eric The combination of cube.fyi, every-layout.dev, and utopia.fyi has been nice although I'm still not sure I can do what I want to with "nice" grid layouts, so we'll seeeeeeeeee

     @sarajw Oooo, it just might be. Mostly I'm coming back into the scene with some specific ideas (mostly-empty left and right sidebars that embeds can “expand" into and sidenotes can float in). Ages ago I'd have banged at it poorly with margins, media queries, and offsets but I'm curious to see what the new set of tools brings to it…

     Hah! As I look at it, that site's layout isn't a bad approximation of the basic layout approach. the desire for sidenotes is really the only weird wrinkle

     @eric @sarajw oooOooo. Nice! Figuring out how to do the “item inside the article flow breaks out of its constraint grid, with the article content wrapping around it” SEEMED pretty gnarly with grids, but the articles I was looking at were like, two years old, which is also forever

     @sarajw @eaton FYI, @molly0xfff uses some really nice sidenotes in her online newsletter; not sure if she’s written up how they’re done, but I imagine the Web Inspector will reveal much. See, as an example, https://www.citationneeded.news/coinbase-campaign-finance-violation/ .
