   So that's it. I'm politically homeless. SNP have chosen to cut investment in the arts, nature, active travel, winter fuel allowance, and public transport. They can absolutely just fuck the fuck off. What's the point of them if they just follow the UK Government in everything they do? #scunnered #Scotland #theSNP has lost the plot.

     They're saying they're continuing to invest in behaviour change and active travel infrastructure, but they cut funding last year, without warning to those who had been delivering those things for years, in favour of who or what, nobody knows. There doesn't seem to be any explicable plan.

     @CloudyMrs they haven't done everything the Westminster govt does. They've put up income tax (and I'm pleased to pay it).

     But yeah, the cuts suck.

     @cstross Aye right. The bourach in Transport Scotland is all their own work. It's plain to see for anyone with eyes, but they continue to defend totally inexplicable decisions.

     @CloudyMrs The Scottish budget is set by the Treasury in Westminster. They're prescribing cuts for *everybody*. The Scottish government is going along with this because they don't have any choice—any other course would be illegal, they're not doing it happily or willingly.

     (This should be an argument for independence right now, but it'll fall on mostly-deaf ears …)
