     @NatashaMH @davidtoddmccarty Your prof led you most of the way correctly, then missed the final turn. Yes, his male characters are flawed men, but never meant to be heroes. Just men in all of their flawedness, propped up by a crazy world looking for hereoes.

     His women on the other hand, often, but not always, victims or pawns of that world looking for heroes, deliver the realities that illuminate the insanity of such a world.

     @NatashaMH @davidtoddmccarty Shakespeare was the champion of the anti-hero, or perhaps better put, the champion of exposing the folly of a world looking for heroes when all we really are looking for are better fools.
