@geoffreyconley It’s the StarLite tablet by @starlabssystems (https://ie.starlabs.systems/pages/starlite)
@aral well that sucks haha but what is this device? Is this a 3-in-1 kind of thing? Very slick lookin'
Seems to be fixed after unplugging the tablet from its dock and replugging it in and then turning it off and on again.
🤷♂️
@geoffreyconley @starlabssystems It is, yes.
Will be cooler, when I figure how to not have the trackpad stay on while typing (at least with my distribution, it’s not obeying the setting in GNOME). :)
@aral @starlabssystems well this thing looks cool!! Thanks!!
@aral my experience with Fedora has been that their focus doesn't seem to be on customer friendliness nor stability
@btlr Not sure this was (entirely?) a Fedora issue, to be fair. Also, we’re not their customer. IBM’s customers are :)
@Blort Yeah, the disk encryption unlock screen.
No idea what I'm looking at here, other than a Fedora log in screen...
@aral I didn’t take you for an iPhone user
@piyuv My drawer full of useless Linux phones would like a word.
Hey Aral,
It's great to hear this issue is resolved.
We just recently got back that duplicate keyboard we sent you.
You know where to find us if you need anything
@starlabssystems Thanks + happy to hear it. Hope it didn’t cost you folks too much to deal with that and glad DHL eventually got it sorted.
Has anyone else been in touch about the trackpad not switching off while typing issue? Wondering if that’s a Fedora issue or hardware/firmware… (Option is on in GNOME settings but has no effect.)
Hope you’re having a lovely week so far + can’t wait to get the last few niggles ironed out in this gorgeous device :)
