@dictatordave the point to remember is that if you have a phone, it has a globally unique identifier in it, on purpose. Right now in England they're arresting people for just going to see what is going on at protests.
@dictatordave@sickburnbro what makes me laugh is the guy int he rubber boat is a nigger, and a nigger is exactly the kinda person i'd imagine trying this.
@sickburnbro yea i dont get that tho why they take their devices to protests they know they'll be tracked from
we've known for years that you can be tracked, so why do people continue to take the devices? its crazy to me
there was a cia guy talking about how they dont even need the device to be powered on anymore to use sonic mapping to see the room and obviously they can listen to you
its a panopticon of shit for sure
although today you can just be back tracked with shit like clearview so they can figure out who you are without any tracker on you at all, makes you wonder why they dont catch that dc pipe bomber lol
@dictatordave I don't know if I'd totally trust what a CIA person says publicly, but it is questionable if many modern devices that don't have removable batteries may able to actually be turned off. A faraday bag probably will do what you need, though.
@dictatordave@givenup I mean, it looks like a person in a rain jacket facing the other way. I don't think we can know. The only solution would be to ensure the model gets trained doesn't have that data in it.
@sickburnbro@givenup when i said final solution i meant digital representations of them too, we're going full on akhenaten erasure mode bro, i dont want to even see any resemblance of their monkey tier faces in the world
@sickburnbro yea that's about the only solution i've figured as well problem being you'd have to get a legit device to test the bags i guess as well
but i agree, maybe they can't really do half the shit they claim or can't process the data at the very least, but why would they bother these days, they'll just fake it or just put you in pretrial detention for years and then have the guards torture you, like joe biden is doing right now
@dictatordave@sickburnbro i'd just assume if it's tracking you, it can probably just store that data until it's able to upload it, so as soon as you take it out of the bag you're still fucked.
'find my iphone' works even if your phone is off, so i wouldn't doubt claims of what they can do, what they're able to do with the data is another thing.
@egirlyuumimain@Big_Farma@dictatordave it just means "identity" will mean very little. Your SSN used to be considered SUPER important, and now it's like "meh whatever".
Places that actually need strong identity claims will simply adjust.
@dictatordave@Big_Farma What is worse is that I don't know if this was entirely avoidable. The pace at which technology was created this century to some degree has outstripped our ability to make sense of it.
@DMA@Big_Farma@dictatordave I'm talking on a much larger scale than google. Think before "design to manufacture" became a thing - think when medicine was promising to solve everything, when cars made mobility for average people drastically higher, etc.
I sometimes think Google assisted in word alarms to give that perception . Each program uses key words to search. Everything is defeating. It’s purpose to kill hope.
@dictatordave@sickburnbro It seems like the whole Covid Vax Passport thing was pretty good trial run on these kinds of things. They got a lot of data on how many people will submit and to what extent. Occasionally it might appear that they back down a bit, but total tracking and total control is always their desire for commercial profit and political power... regardless of any supposed labeling of "liberal" or "conservative."
BTW, mark my words that they will come up with an outstanding euphemistic name for mandatory tracking/control like, "The American Freedom Pass! Social Credit, digital currency and vax status for travel approval all in one convenient app. Sign up today before the deadline before your bank account is frozen!"
@Big_Farma@dictatordave I mean, they don't NEED the data - "papers, please" has been a phrase for a long time. The COVID Vax Passport was just them trying to *do* that but failing because they are not good at running things.
@DMA@Big_Farma@dictatordave Yes. But we live in a different world than then. We have computers which can talk to people on the other side of the globe instantly, you can find the answer from an encyclopedia in seconds that used to take maybe hours and find out multiple encyclopedias as well.
My brain remembers. Education not being mandatory. I remember books in school coming home so parents can look at what their kids are learning. Eight grade education was enough to support a family. Now it’s all manipulation and indoctrination.
