    Don’t be tricked into sharing a meme that’s going around of a joyous photo of #KamalaHarris an #TimWalz with the caption “Strength Through Joy”. The history of this phrase is that it was the name of a program implemented in Germany during the late 1930s.
    It’s a trap!! lol

      @unclesam, @curtisysmith –

      To the pseudonymous participant here:

      Searching around a little, I'd say it looks more like a typical deliberate smear move than an innocuous use of a literal phrase. Considering that it doesn't appear to be a genuine campaign slogan and it does appear to have the traits of similar ploys, I don't think it's more likely, no. You're certainly entitled to think it is, though.

      Do you think everyone who uses the phrase 'rule of thumb' advocates for domestic violence? That phrase has a dark history. Don't you think it's more likely that they're actually just advocating to find strength through the power positive thinking? As a progressive myself, I don't see the connection that specifically.

      @unclesam The point is to avoid the intended purpose of making a fool of progressives. I don’t ever use the phrase ‘triumph of the will’

      So, they're using a slogan about joy just to secretly make fun of progressives? That seems like a stretch.

      What's the point here? That phrases all have origins? Oh no!! Hitler once said 'Have a nice day,' so now we can't say that!! 😅
