   Yes yes YES! This!!

   I’m torn about whether this is mostly because people don’t know how to conduct job searches and interviews, or because people •don’t even know• what it takes to be good at the jobs they do.

     @inthehands @JessTheUnstill @dgoldsmith it's because there's basically zero cost to being bad at employing people. Capital will flow to any established enterprise, no matter how dysfunctional it is. Capital will starve or subvert any upstart firm could challenge the dominance of the incumbents. Commodified housing means hardly anyone can just leave the labor market, and labor is so thoroughly tamed that tech cos spent the last year literally decimating their workforces with no push back.
