@liztai I just unsubscribe to basically every marketing email I get. Eventually you do actually get zero marketing emails.

Because I've been filtering individually instead haha. One thing I'm doing is to create an email just for subscribing to services because I know inevitably I'll be spammed. -

Tom (tommertron@masto.yttrx.com)'s status on Tuesday, 13-Aug-2024 12:08:50 JST Tom @liztai The other trick is to make a filter that puts anything with the word “unsubscribe”into a junk folder, marked as read. Just check it every once in a while to make sure nothing slipped through.

Badri (badri@snipetteville.in)'s status on Tuesday, 13-Aug-2024 12:52:54 JST Badri @tommertron @liztai oh nice! I’m lucky not to have much junk coming in (also I use SimpleLogin) but this could be useful someday. The best part is they’re legally obligated to have the “unsubscribe” option, and even if they ignore that, the draconian filters of Big Email (Google, Microsoft, etc) means people still follow the rules ☑️
