It's been a really long time since I've been into a K-drama or C-drama.
Maybe it's time for a rewatch?

@Two9A @joannalaine @kat_kime 👋 nice to meet you! It'll be hard to recommend a #CDrama unless I know your preferences. I have a list of dramas that I've rated here: https://dramatea88.wordpress.com/review-index/
Of course, those that I rate 8 above are highly recommended by me.
@joannalaine @kat_kime Tagging in @liztai who's very probably got recommendations, from what I see of them in the timeline.
@kat_kime any favorites of yours that you’d recommend? I kind of don’t know where to start
I still remember when the previous tenant of corporate housing never signed out,
And through their account I got so many good kdrama recommendations 😭
Hope that guy is doing well 🙏🏿
@liztai @Two9A @joannalaine Nice!!!!!! What a list!
@kat_kime @Two9A @joannalaine I realized I haveny updated the list with the latest reviews, but Legend of Shen Li is also highly recommended :)
@kat_kime @JillsJoy @liztai this is a pretty good list, I’ve seen a bunch of these and enjoyed them
https://nordicperspective.com/culture/nordic-noir-scandinavian-tv-series
@joannalaine @kat_kime @JillsJoy oooh I do love Nordic and Scandi dramas!
@joannalaine @JillsJoy @liztai Oooo I haven't tried Nordic noir maybe I can get into it since I've been hitting a bit of an entertainment rut
But if romance isn't your thing, some amazing ones on Netflix are:
- The Glory
- Mask Girl
- Squid Games (if you haven't seen it already 😂)
@kat_kime @JillsJoy @liztai thanks for all the suggestions! I’ve watched a bit of Nordic noir lately, and feel like diving into a new genre. I typically love crime dramas (Ófærð, Karppi) and political dramas (Borgen). But I also like things that are a bit supernatural (Katla, Dark). I haven’t watched much romance except for Outlander, which I originally got into because of the time travel aspect. I didn’t even know it was a romance at first!
@JillsJoy @joannalaine I agree, Crash Landing on You is a great place to start!
I'm a big romance junkie, so off the top of my head, some faves are:
- Hometown Cha Cha Cha [Netflix]
- Under the Blue Sea [Viki]
- Twenty-five, Twenty-one [Netflix]
- Something in the Rain [Netflix]
- One Spring Night [Netflix]
Of these, Hometown Cha Cha Cha is probably a good starting point
@joannalaine @kat_kime
For #kdrama, one of the best to start with would probably be "Crash Landing On You," which is available on Netflix. The first episode requires some suspension of reality, but the character development and relationships really shine through and the story is very very good.
I hope you find one you like!
@kat_kime
@JillsJoy @joannalaine
If you like something dark, I 100% recommend Flower of Evil and The Memorist. #Kdrama
