Not here for discussions about why I should feel bad for Trump if he has PTSD from almost getting shot; there's a lot of people in my life who've been going through it, living in fear every day since he came down that escalator and announced he was running for President. Don't care what it is that stops Downmarket Mussolini, I just care that he's stopped and I'm not here to look gift horses in the mouth.
If you think that makes me a bad person you don't get the scope of the fascist problem yet.

@futurebird yeah, basically. Couldn't agree more. Like it says a lot about our society that we're committed to pretending these problems don't exist precisely until they affect rich and important people, or cops or whatever.
Just read about a Jan 6th guy getting 20 years and I'm reading the story and he's done this shit 3 times already against protestors with 1 charge total, 200 days in jail. Then he did it cops so it's 20 years. I'm glad he's toast, but that says everything about who matters.

I have to do "Active Shooter Drills" with 6th graders. There has been a shooter on campus when I was teaching college and I had to hide with my Calc III students in the corner. (He didn't shoot anyone or get near us, but still)
My Calc students just kept studying their flash cards because they grew up with this BS.
I do not care about his trauma.
