Sick Sun (sun@shitposter.world)'s status on Thursday, 08-Aug-2024 02:18:15 JST Sick Sun QNX is really cool because it's a microkernel and it breaks all its kernel modules up into userland processes that communicate over IPC, almost none of its "kernel" runs in "kernel mode".
build off that or something- snacks likes this.

No GNU license has that requirement, or says "open" in it.
Companies are free to do whatever they want with GPLv3-or-later licensed software internally - even link it against proprietary software.
It's only if they choose to distribute it to users that they need to respect the users freedom by either including the complete corresponding source code under the same or a compatible license, or by providing a written offer for that complete, corresponding source code (some companies take the latter option and are shocked when users, or the users who have had binaries passed on, actually exercise the written offer).
Your company quite possibly could make more profit respecting the users freedom instead of infringing it.In conversation permalink -
