@feld tbh this is the kind of thing that looks pretty nice to me given how few motherboards have a decent amount of sata ports yet easily have at least 1 M.2 slot (and then often a fuckton of USB ports, I always wonder why you'd put more than 4 rear ports and like 4 front-panel ports, people who need more can reach for PCIe cards).
So in a way, heck yeah we got ~horizontal expansion boards. :D -

@soothspider wouldn't be too slow on a Pi5 actually, those can do 500MB/s now with the adapter to let you put in an NVME or whatever Haelwenn /элвэн/ :triskell: likes this. -

@lanodan The KGPE-D16 has a decent amount of SATA ports and it also respects your freedom too.
