   i don't know what to tell a person who can't choose between bad and much worse

   the choice stinks. but the choice is real. and the choice clearly matters

   i genuinely cannot grasp the concept of someone who is in a state mind of such lack of clarity they cannot grasp that

   so i consider a lot of it to be trolls working the learned helplessness psyop

   yes, some of them are real. and that is an exasperating shame

     i have something unfortunate to tell you:

     that's all it ever was, is, and will be

     forever

     because better is "shitty" according to the metrics of the toxic idealist

     the problem is not real world choices

     the problem is the maladaptive psychology of the perfectionist

     their demoralization is their own fault

     life is struggle

     always was. always will be

     there is no better option
